Apple prevents heart attack

We have all heard the phrase "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" and it is already scientifically proven. According to researchers at the University of Oxford, persons over age 50 years who eat at least one apple a day significantly reduces the risk of heart attack suffered.
According to their estimates, Apple prevents about 8,500 cardiac arrests annually in the UK alone. Doctor Adam Bridges, leader of the study, said that eating apples is very important for persons over 50 years, especially for those taking medication.

"I'm not saying that doctors should not replace medication with apples, but all need to eat more fruit," said Dr.. Bridges.

In a study published in the 'British Medical Journal shows that eating apples reduces by 12% the risk of heart attack and eating an apple second day reduces this risk by 12% other.
